Sometimes simple is the best possible way to go.  Sometimes, you can make something truly beautiful out of items you would never think about using – and they are normal, every day household items, at that.  For example, today’s tip for indoor autumnal decor revolves around olive jars.  This is a simple piece involving a collection of lovely, rustic, antiquated olive jars in a bunch of different sizes.  All you have to do is scatter them along the surface of your choice – the mantel, a console, an end table, a shelf, et cetera.  You can place chestnut branches in the jars, or you can used dried flowers, stalks of wheat – basically, anything that strikes your fancy.  This arrangement is gorgeous all by itself, but you can also turn it into a backdrop, perhaps by placing a bowl of potpourri in front of the jars.  However, here too, you can pretty much fix the arrangement however you like.  The result is sure to look charmingly autumnal and amazingly antique.
